
Sonum qualified from King's College, London, in 2013. She subsequently worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in various hospitals in the South. During this time, she achieved the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Gaining invaluable insight into surgery and management of complex cases in hospital, Sonum then went on to work in general dental practice in Chichester. She has always enjoyed learning and has undertaken postgraduate training and qualifications throughout her years since qualifying.
Sonum successfully completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Dental Care along with Postgraduate Studies at the University of Bristol. Her passion for Periodontology then led her to embark upon a three-year formal training programme to become a Specialist Periodontist at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in London.
She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, European Federation of Periodontology and British Society of Periodontology.
Sonum joined Great Shelford Dental Practice in 2020. She is enthusiastic about periodontics and implant dentistry and believes in treating all patients in a calm, polite and respectful manner.
